The worlds first Mobile and Video in Recruitment Conference took place in London on the 28th September and judging by the delegates feedback it was a great success!.
Here are just some of the comments received about Conference:

The Conference Programme covered mainly Video in the morning and then Mobile in the afternoon.
Video In Recruitment
The first presentation was by Luke McKend from Google who talked about how to build your brand on YouTube. Luke showed some examples of how companies are using YouTube today for branding purposes but noted that there aren’t that many companies using online video specifically for recruitment. He felt that this offered some great opportunities for companies to pick up on in the future, especially as the number of job related searches on YouTube (now the second largest search engine in the world) is increasing month by month.
The next speaker was Nick Price from Working Films who covered the power of using film as part of an employer branding campaign. Nick also showed three examples of how the power of film is helping both public and private sector companies recruit.
The third video related presentation was by Kes and Dimitar from Inovaz who covered how to use video as part of the recruitment process. By the way, did you know that the first mention of a video resume was back in 1981, almost 30 years ago!
After the third presentation there was was a Video Discussion Panel which then led to the first Mobile related presentation of the day.
Mobile In Recruitment
The first speaker of the afternoon was Trevor Shonfeld from Roundpoint who gave a comprehensive insight into the mobile industry. This was followed by Dave Martin from AllTheTopBananas who covered the use of mobile apps in recruitment.
The final mobile related presentation was a joint one between Andy Bamford from Thirty Three (a Recruitment Communications company) and Stuart Affleck from LV=. This was a case study showing how LV= used a combination of mobile and image recognition software in an innovate way as part of a recruitment campaign. The final session of the day was a mobile discussion panel followed by a networking and drinks reception. A perfect way to end to a successful conference!
